The Church-operated Family History Library near Temple Square is also known for its family history research capabilities. However, it is designed for more experienced researchers. The Family History Library is another of Salt Lake City’s most unique tourist attractions as it is the largest genealogy library in the world. Nearby Temple Square is home to the Salt Lake Temple, visitor centers, and the Tabernacle used by the world-renowned Mormon Tabernacle Choir. It’s free to visit the visitor centers and the Tabernacle to learn more about the Mormon religion, but the temple is strictly for those of the Mormon faith.
