The M-ATV’s payload capacity is large enough to accommodate most military operations, though it may be smaller than larger MRAP vehicles that are heavier and less maneuverable. It will have some of the same safety and handling controls that a normal vehicle would offer, such as anti-lock brakes, traction control and even air conditioning. Communication capabilities may vary, although the M-ATV will feature multiple power ports for charging portable communications devices and other devices that require a power source to operate. The vehicle is likely to have multiple batteries for regular operations, as well as for the operation of peripheral devices.
