Renowned artist Leonardo da Vinci was ambidextrous and could write with one hand while drawing with the other. Not only could the Italian Renaissance artist write with both hands at the same time, da Vinci had taught himself to write in a mirror: only when a written text is leaned against a mirror can it be read. Most of da Vinci’s diaries and notes are written in mirrored italics.
