What’s a Reiki teacher’s role?

[ad_1]

Reiki is a spiritual healing practice where a teacher trains students to become practitioners through four levels of training. During an attunement ceremony, the teacher transfers energy to the student and opens their chakras to connect them to the reiki energy source. The teacher’s lineage determines the reiki system they practice.

A reiki teacher trains students to become reiki practitioners. Generally, there are four stages of training that a person must go through to become a reiki teacher. She completes level one to become a practitioner, level two to become a pro, and level three to become a master. During the fourth level of training, he learns to pass energy on to others so that they too can become practitioners.

Reiki is a type of spiritual healing. The word means “God-guided life force energy”. During a reiki treatment, energy flows through the practitioner’s hands and into the patient, helping to heal any illnesses or problems the patient may be suffering from. It is believed that a person becomes ill when their energy levels drop. A reiki practitioner helps to increase the energy level of the patient, restoring him to health. The level of energy transferred from the practitioner to the patient automatically adjusts depending on the strength and condition of the patient.

A reiki student does not learn the practice as he would another skill. Instead, he receives an empowerment from a reiki teacher. An attunement takes place during a ceremony, and a teacher can attune more than one student in a single ceremony. The reiki teacher transfers energy to the student by drawing reiki symbols over the head and hands and touching the student’s head, shoulders and hands. During the attunement, a student’s various chakras are opened, connecting them to the reiki energy source.

Once the student is attuned, the teacher can spend some time demonstrating how to do a reiki treatment. During a level one course, the student will practice their new skill on patients. If a student decides to continue their training, a reiki teacher will perform another attunement, showing more symbols to the student.

During a level two attunement, a reiki teacher may show the student the distant healing symbol. Once a student receives this symbol, he can use reiki energy to heal patients even if they are not in the room with him. The other symbols a reiki teacher gives his students depend on the teacher’s methods and lineage.

A teacher’s lineage refers to the teachers before her and the reiki system she practices. For example, reiki as practiced in the West is believed to be founded by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century. A teacher from the Usui lineage learned from a teacher who learned from another teacher, leading all the way back to Usui.
