Pros & cons of loose clothing?

[ad_1]

Baggy clothes are comfortable but can look unkempt and cause security issues. Loose clothing allows for ease of movement but can make people look heavier. Baggy pants are good for longer strides but can be dangerous while biking. Loose clothing can adjust to weight fluctuations.

One of the biggest pros or advantages of wearing baggy clothes is that you can feel very comfortable. However, one of its biggest drawbacks, or downsides, is that it can look unkempt rather than stylish. Other drawbacks include security issues, looking heavier than you really are, and not having a flattering line for an outfit. More advantages of loose clothing are that it can cause less irritation to the skin and allow for greater ease of movement than tight-fitting clothing.

Walking, sitting and bending over can seem like a hindrance to a person wearing baggy clothes. Tighter pants may have a tendency to ride up as a person walks in them or make sitting and bending difficult to hold too much of the knee area. When wearing baggy pants, it is often not necessary to move the fabric around the knee before sitting down. Baggier pants also allow a person to take longer strides while walking than tighter types of pants. However, loose clothing worn for running can bunch up and slow a person down.

Wearing loose pants while riding a bike can be downright dangerous, as excess material can get caught in the chain and cause the rider to fall and/or injure their leg. Loose-fitting, long-sleeved shirts can also pose a safety hazard when worn while using a stove or other source of flame. The long sleeves on these loose fitting garments are definitely a scam as they can catch fire quite easily causing the wearer to experience severe burns.

Comfort is a common pro mentioned by people who wear any type of baggy clothing, like an oversized t-shirt or baggy pants. However, for others, loose clothing like shorts, dresses, sweaters, nightgowns, and long skirts can look very sloppy, especially when an entire outfit is baggy. Since loose-fitting clothes don’t define the body, they also have the disadvantage of making many people look heavier than they really are. However, for extremely thin people, this feature can be considered a pro.

However, even very heavy people tend to look better when clothing simply goes over the bulges instead of fitting loosely. Clothing that is too loose on people who are overweight or obese can have the effect of making them look even bigger. One advantage of having loose fitting clothing is that they are more likely to adjust during weight fluctuations than tighter clothing.
