Can I wed at Disneyland?

[ad_1]

Disneyland offers fairytale weddings in three locations: the park, Disneyland Hotel, and Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Same-sex couples can also have commitment ceremonies. A California marriage license is required.

For many little girls, a magical grand wedding is a fantasy that carries over into their adult years. Getting married at Disneyland is the perfect way to combine fairytale romance with elegance for an enchanted wedding. If you’re getting married at Disneyland you have the choice of several fairytale-style themes all taking place in elegant settings such as the magical rose gardens or Cinderella’s castle.

You can get married at Disneyland in one of three locations; The Disney Park itself, the Disneyland Hotel or Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Wedding at Disneyland Park offers a castle-like setting with a ride in Cinderella’s carriage to the groom waiting in the castle. The Disneyland Hotel is nestled in a private rose garden with the wedding ceremony taking place in a charming gazebo. The Grand Californian Hotel and Spa offers three options for an outdoor garden wedding or one of two ballrooms, all done in early 20th-century decor.

When you get married at Disneyland you’re lavished with the same fancy details as traditional weddings held elsewhere, including flowers, cocktail hours, gourmet hors d’oeuvres, delicious main courses, and entertainment like a DJ or classic artists. Other Disney-specific features are also available such as classic characters like Minnie and Mickey in wedding dresses and similarly themed extras.

Disneyland has extended its wedding packages to non-traditional couples and now offers the opportunity for same-sex couples to get married at Disneyland. The same-sex commitment ceremony is performed not only at Disneyland, but also at Disneyworld Florida and on Disney cruise lines.

Before getting married at Disneyland, state law requires a California marriage license. If you are a non-California resident, be sure to allow extra time for planning to ensure you have all the necessary legal documents.
