Depending on where he’s gained weight, a man might see the appearance of cellulite on his upper arms, thighs, and even his back. Usually, the amount of extra fat he has will determine how visible a man’s cellulite is.

In general, men and women can try to get rid of cellulite in similar ways. Most experts agree that the most effective way to reduce the appearance of cellulite is diet and exercise. Because their bodies store fat differently, however, men might see quicker success than women. Full-body workouts are best, but a man may want to focus more on the part of the body that exhibits cellulite. For example, if he has cellulite on his stomach, he might focus on sit-ups or crunches, and if he has cellulite on his buttocks, he might try doing squats.

If they don’t see improvement with diet and exercise, or if they want faster results, men might try other options. Cellulite creams and lotions are popular products. Depending on the quality, some of these products have a slight improvement in the appearance of cellulite. However, they don’t actually remove cellulite from the body and the results are usually temporary. More drastic measures, such as liposuction, can permanently remove or reduce the appearance of existing cellulite in men.
