Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t have tattoos because he donates blood twice a year and a new tattoo can prevent blood donation for up to a year. He has won multiple Ballon d’Or awards and is considered one of the greatest soccer players of all time. He was also named the highest-paid athlete in the world in 2016.
From Major League Soccer to the Premier League, soccer players love to flaunt their tattoos. And Major League Soccer’s Philadelphia Union has even hired a Chief Tattoo Officer to help build the club’s unity. But don’t expect Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid and the Portuguese national team to start getting tattoos. The body of the international soccer star is devoid of ink because, he says, “I don’t have tattoos because I give blood very often”. In many countries, a new tattoo prevents blood donation for up to a year, as a precaution against diseases such as hepatitis. Ronaldo donates blood twice a year and has also been a bone marrow donor.
At the peak of his game:

In 2015, Ronaldo scored his 500th senior career goal. He is often regarded as the best player in the world and widely regarded as one of the greatest of all time.
In 2016, Forbes named Ronaldo the highest-paid athlete in the world, earning $88 million in salary and endorsements.
