In a TeleNav poll, about 20 percent of people said losing their cell phone would be as bad or worse than breaking up with their romantic partner. Smartphone users, especially iPhone users, were more likely to give up time with their partner or give up sex for a week than to give up their cellphones for the same amount of time.

In the same study, iPhone users said they would give up exercise, a toothbrush, or shoes before giving up their iPhone.
