The Vancouver Aquarium and Marine Science Center is home to more than 8,000 marine creatures. The Pacific Canada Pavilion at the Aquarium features marine life and educational materials related to Vancouver’s Strait of Georgia area. Shows of killer whales, dolphins and belugas are usually available and there is also an Amazonian gallery with reptiles and other animals. The Aquarium is located in Stanley Park.
Visiting Stanley Park is one of the “must do” things in Vancouver and even if you go through it, you will definitely be impressed by the beautiful ocean and mountain views. If you want to get some exercise, head to the Seawall in the park. The Seawall surrounds Lost Lagoon in a pleasant setting and is a popular place for walking, cycling and skating. Stanley Park has a miniature train and Farmyard for the children and is home to the Theater Under The Stars in the summer.
