Twilight’s tongue?

[ad_1]

Twilight language is an esoteric language system used in Tantric Buddhism and Hinduism, employing opaque language, codes, and conceptual metaphors. It includes nonverbal communication such as gestures and is used during meditation to lead to a more complete understanding of the phenomenon. The most important teachings are thought to lie in the secret language of mudras, mantras, and mandalas. The phenomenon of twilight speech in the Buddhist tradition was expressed to the masses by the bodhisattva Gotama.

Twilight language is an oriental language involving words and phrases that can convey more than one meaning. Most of the conversation and descriptive literature within the dialect are conceptually synonymous and refer to the same general phenomenon, which is mostly esoteric in nature. This language system is explicitly seen in Tantric Buddhism and Hinduism, although the dialect itself is thought to be rendered from Sanskrit terminology. In addition to the vocal aspect of speech, twilight speech becomes more complex for an initiate as they discover that their speech also includes nonverbal communication, such as gestures.

The confusion that comes from the twilight language is intentional. Many esoteric traditions employ this modality, which uses opaque language, codes and conceptual metaphors. The most important teachings are thought to lie in the secret language of mudras, which are usually hand gestures that guide the flow of energy and modulate reflexes in the brain. Furthermore, mantras, which are phrases that are memorized and recited during meditation, and mandalas, which are seen by the initiate as a representation of divine truth and reality, are part of the symbolic nature of the twilight language.

During initiation, meditation is a progressive process using the subtle energy of the body, expressed and felt by the meditator as the movement of life energy through energy spaces called chakras. Contemplation of each chakra is thought to lead to a more complete understanding of the phenomenon that is constantly referred to in esoteric texts using the twilight language. The initiate is encouraged to move at a comfortable pace during the meditative process. According to tantric philosophy, energy moves upward through all chakras and is finally released through the crown chakra. At this point it is thought that the initiate may glimpse enlightenment and even acquire psychic powers, but this experience is often fleeting and even more intense practice is prescribed.

Some believe that the phenomenon of twilight speech in the Buddhist tradition was expressed to the masses by the bodhisattva Gotama. His followers claimed that their enlightened master had no knowledge of them; they believed his words were literal and all-encompassing. Buddhists who were inspired by Gotama believed that his teachings would lead them to nirvana, or enlightenment.
