When the bread is done, the loaf is lifted out of the brioche pan to reveal a pleasing shape that appears to include alternating columns in the structure of the bread.

Taking care of a brioche pan is also similar to maintaining cakes and baking pans. Cookware without nonstick surfaces can be cleaned with a sponge or scourer while soaked in a mixture of hot water and a little dish soap. Non-stick pans can often be wiped out and then sterilized in a dishwasher or soaked in hot water for a few moments. In general, it’s a good idea to use a clean cloth to dry your brioche pan immediately after cleaning, taking care to thoroughly dry the flutes inside and outside of the pan.

Buying a brioche pan is very easy to make. Any large retailer with a kitchen section is likely to carry at least a couple of pan sizes. Kitchen stores will normally have a wider choice in terms of size and choice of materials. Restaurant supply stores are a great resource when larger cookware is needed. While costing more than a regular skillet, brioche makes it possible to prepare something different for special occasions.
