Flowlab Skateboard is an innovative design that allows for optimal performance in skateboarding, with a higher spin limit and increased agility. The design is a simulation of snowboarding, created by Pieter Schouten and Mike Simonian, who wanted to incorporate the thrill and agility of snowboarding into skateboarding. The patented system uses fourteen wheels and no rubber bushings, decreasing resistance and preventing wobbling. Flowlab also offers a board for riding on snow, with adjustable suspension. Prices are comparable to typical skateboards, and the company offers quality customer service and support.

Would you like to “surf without waves, surf without snow”? This is the premise of the innovative design of a Flowlab skateboard. It is also the motto of the company. This creative design allows for optimal performance in skateboarding. Just like the flow of a snowboard on snow, the Flowlab skateboard allows for a higher spin limit than the average skateboard. Instead of around 25 degrees, a Flowlab skateboard will “carve” over 45 degrees.

For those unfamiliar with skateboarding or snowboarding, or the lingo used by those who enjoy these sports, carving refers to the way the rider leans and cuts through turns. With a 45 degree notch, the edge of the board is very close to the ground and allows for much greater agility. The Flowlab Skateboard design is essentially a simulation of snowboarding, built into a skateboard.

Who would have come up with such a revolutionary design if not someone interested in skateboarding or similar sports? Two people who had an interest worked together to develop a better mousetrap, or in this case a better skateboard. Pieter Schouten and Mike Simonian were roommates, friends, fellow design students and fellow snowboarders.

The two were disappointed in the experience of skateboarding compared to snowboarding. They decided there had to be a better way to skateboard during warm weather or during times when riders turned to skateboarding because they didn’t have access to snow. Instead of typical limited skateboarding, they believed they could incorporate the thrill and increased agility of snowboarding into a new skateboard. And they did.

The Flowlab Skateboard was designed with a patented system that uses fourteen wheels and does not use rubber bushings found in typical skateboards. The lack of bushings decreases the resistance encountered by the rider. It also prevents the wobbling effect often associated with high speed skateboarding.

The Flowlab Skateboard brand hasn’t stopped with a new and improved skateboard either. Flowlab also has a board made for riding on snow. It resembles a skateboard with feet. Users can adjust the ski’s suspension to get just the right feel.
Since the prices are comparable to those of typical skateboards, many enthusiasts believe that it is a product worth trying. Many people who have reviewed this product also say that Flowlab offers quality customer service and support. In fact, a lot of helpful information is available on the Flowlab Skateboard website, including a toll-free number to call.
