The operator maneuvers this type of high lift pallet truck using a series of levers and buttons on a control panel, located at waist height. At the end of a work shift, this type of pallet truck often needs to be recharged in order to be used continuously the next day. As with all tools with rechargeable batteries, the battery pack will need to be replaced from time to time.
Typically, a high-lift pallet truck is capable of lifting weights between 2,000 and 3,300 pounds (907 to 1,500 kg), although you may be able to find some higher-end models that can lift slightly more. While it may be possible to lift objects heavier than the pallet truck is intended for, care must be taken when doing so. Any damage resulting from use beyond the manufacturer’s recommendations could void the warranty and potentially endanger nearby personnel.
