What’s an elec stacker?

[ad_1]

Electric forklifts are used in industrial and manufacturing environments to lift and position large objects. They have metal prongs that move up and down through a hydraulic lift system and can handle objects weighing tons. They are used in fulfillment centers, construction sites, and department stores for material handling.

An electric forklift is a kind of compact forklift that is often used to maneuver in smaller spaces. It is heavy equipment typically used in industrial and manufacturing environments for lifting and positioning large, flat objects, such as pallets, pipes and slabs. Metal prongs, or arms, project horizontally from the vertical body of an electric cart, and these prongs move up and down the vertical shaft through the use of a hydraulic lift system. Wheels on the bottom of the stacker allow the operator to place the arms inside or underneath an item so it can be lifted and moved to a new location or loaded for delivery.

At the heart of an electric stacker’s power is a central weight handling system. This part of the machine can handle lifting and gripping objects weighing tons (more than approximately 1,000 kilograms). Operations control panels and a small seat or foot platform for the operator are to one side of this core. An L-shaped iron or steel spike feature is attached to the other side of the core and is a movable member of the stacker. It can be raised and lowered vertically along the web as the stacker is driven into position to pick up or deposit an item.

Environments where pallets are used generally rely on electric stackers to move goods. For example, a pallet containing multiple boxes can be moved as a unit rather than moving each box individually. Fulfillment centers can also access units of merchandise for delivery to customers using stackers to retrieve and consolidate order contents into a warehouse. Crates containing multiple types of items can also be loaded with an electric stacker.

Construction sites can also use stackers for moving building materials. The use of large earthmoving equipment is often necessary for foundation work, but an electric forklift can be used for material handling and building infrastructure. Pallets of bulky or large wall and floor components, for example, can be moved with a stacker.

Consumers may see an electric stacker at work in larger hardware or department store environments. Bulk food and electronic items can be viewed and retrieved for buyers with a stacker, and bound lumber or piping is generally easier to move with machinery than manual lifting. Electric forklifts can be seen in road or public works projects, as they can be suitable for placing small but heavy components of infrastructure projects such as concrete casting molds and pipelines.
