Chandeliers are vertical posts used to hold things up, made from various materials and can be adjusted in width and design. They are used in temporary barriers, architecture, and fencing, and can be fixed or movable. Some are set in concrete while others can be folded or rotated.

A post is a vertical post that is usually used to hold something up. Chandeliers appear in a wide range of settings, from yacht decks to milking stall stalls. The produced candlesticks which are part of the kits are made by many companies and people can also design their own for a customized purpose. Any type of pole or post can serve as a post, and it’s possible to come up with some pretty creative variations on support posts.

Chandeliers can be made from a variety of materials. Because they’re designed to be supportive in nature, they’re usually made from materials that can withstand weight and pressure. Metals are common choices, but materials such as wood and highly durable plastics can also be used. The width of the post can be adjusted relative to the height to meet your support needs. The design can also vary depending on whether the post is fixed or mobile and what types of materials it can be attached to.

A classic use of chandeliers is in temporary barriers. Line barriers at airports, cinemas, museums, and so on are often made with posts that support ribbons or ropes. The barrier can be easily and quickly reconfigured to meet different needs and to control a crowd. In this case, the barrier is more symbolic than functional because people can easily squeeze under the ropes or drop the props to bring the barrier down.

Mullions are also used in architecture to provide vertical support. Open spaces like large windows may require such support to distribute the weight of the structure above, for example. Stanchions can be used for fencing and in more substantial barriers such as those used to control livestock for movement as well. A version of the mast is also used as a hitch on many vehicles, in which case the mast can fold away when not in use out of the way.

Some posts are fixed in place and may be set in concrete or other materials so they cannot be tipped over. Others are fixed but can be folded or rotated as needed. We also see movable chandeliers supported by large bases. These fixtures can be moved to reconfigure a space or area. The bottom is usually weighted to make it difficult for the mast to tip over.
