Bartendaz is a low-cost, community-based street workout program that uses calisthenics and motivational speeches to build fitness, muscle tone, and flexibility. It can be done alone or in a group and is popular in schools, juvenile detention centers, and jails. The program was founded by Hassan Yasin to prevent at-risk youth from joining gangs and abusing drugs.

There are many different types of workouts available to meet various exercise needs. Some people prefer a minimalist workout that is easy and inexpensive to complete. Bartendaz training is one such program. It involves exercising in conjunction with a motivational speech.

Considered a street workout, Bartendaz was developed to help people who couldn’t afford to buy successful gym memberships at home or anywhere they choose. The program involves exercising with whatever equipment a person has available, if any. Training can help build fitness level, muscle tone, and flexibility.

Calisthenics, or the use of one’s own weight as resistance, is the basis of Bartendaz’s training. Using one’s weight as a fitness tool can help a person build a fit body, lose weight, or maintain overall health and fitness. The other main component of the training method is the motivation to speak and think. Motivation is considered the philosophy behind training.

A moderately challenging workout, Bartendaz can be done on home exercise equipment, playground equipment, or just the floor. For this reason, it is also sometimes referred to as playground training. There are many different demo videos available in the training, many of which show people working on playground equipment.

The Bartendaz exercise can be done alone or in a group. A training partner can also be incorporated with the Bartendaz method. People using the drill are encouraged to rely on friends for mutual encouragement. Partners can also be used as a higher resistance to weight.

An example of a Bartendaz workout might include push-ups, push-ups, and other weight-resistance movements that incorporate body mass into the exercise. Martial arts, acrobatics, military drills, and break dancing are often incorporated as well. The motivational messages used in the program help foster a mind-body approach, building self-awareness, confidence, self-esteem and the general well-being of the participants.

Due to its low cost and community base, Bartendaz Training has been used in many schools, juvenile detention centers, and jails. At-risk youth can benefit from this particular program. Hassan Yasin founded the Bartendaz training. Through his motivating companionship, Yasin was originally approached to develop a program to help prevent young people from cutting class in school.

After spending time in prison during his own youth, Yasin wanted to create a program to prevent youth from joining gangs and abusing drugs. Another part of Bartendaz’s philosophy includes channeling aggression from at-risk youth toward physical fitness rather than violence and other people. Young people are often drawn to Bartendaz’s training due to its incorporation of hip-hop, stunts, and other fun activities.
