The terms “bioenergetics” and “bioenergetic analysis” are also sometimes used to describe a form of psychotherapy that encompasses both the mind and the body. The field seeks to address and interpret patterns expressed by both the mind and body to work through various psychological or physical issues. The two uses of the word are unrelated: the biochemical definition of bioenergetics is distinct from bioenergetic analysis.
