While injured, Horvath combined movements from physical activities that were important to him, such as dancing, gymnastics, and swimming. He combined these moves to create Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis. These techniques were intended to help speed his recovery, as well as help him develop the inner strength that he considered important in supporting his physical strength. Today, he continues to work on the ever-evolving system he created, as well as the equipment used to practice it.
