Families and groups can pitch a tent or camp at an RV site in one of three campground loops. Six cabins with two bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchenettes can be booked throughout the year. An outdoor swimming pool is available to all campers during the summer months.
The Yadkin and Pee Dee Rivers, as well as Tillery Lake on the park’s eastern border, offer campers and hikers many opportunities for boating or fishing. Canoes and rowboats can be rented daily during the summer months and on weekends during the spring and fall. A launch ramp is also available for those who choose to trailer their boat to the park. Fishing for smallmouth bass, catfish, or various species of bass is permitted for those with a North Carolina fishing license.
For those who like to combine recreation with education, there is a nature museum in the park with exhibits detailing the history and geography of the area, as well as native flora and fauna. An amphitheater is available for interpretive presentations by rangers. Morrow Mountain State Park is open to visitors year-round, although some facilities and boat rentals may be limited to the summer season.
