Oldcastle Glass is a manufacturer of specialty and architectural glass products, including curtain walls and window walls. They offer various types of glass, including insulating, laminated, and safety glass. Their products feature on notable architectural monuments worldwide.

Oldcastle Glass® is a manufacturer of specialty glass and architectural glass applications, including architectural windows, storefronts, skylights, curtain walls and other building envelope systems. It is a division of Oldcastle®, a major North American supplier of building products, owned by CRH plc., one of the largest building products conglomerates in the world. Oldcastle® is headquartered in Santa Monica, California. CRH is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland.

In contemporary architecture, large buildings are often supported by internal support structures. The exterior walls or building envelope may not be load-bearing: they may play no role in supporting the weight of the structure. In this way it is possible to cover an entire building with glass. Glass-covered skyscrapers are now a regular sight in most major cities around the world. These expansive glass facades are one of Oldcastle®’s specialities.

Two common facade styles in high-rise buildings are curtain wall and window wall. A curtain wall is a glass building facade that spans multiple stories and hangs off the side of the building without supporting the weight of the building. A window wall is an exterior wall made up of floor-to-ceiling windows. Oldcastle Glass® is a leading manufacturer of curtain wall and window systems.

Architectural glass products offered by Oldcastle® include:
Insulating glass. This product consists of two or more glass plates with an air sealed gap. Immobilized air prevents heat transfer.
Heat treated glass that is rapidly heated and cooled during manufacturing to provide greater strength.
Laminated glass. This product bonds glass with one or more layers of plastic. Once broken, it will hold together in one piece instead of scattering pieces of broken glass.
Glass plume. This opaque glass is used as part of the building envelope to hide the building elements.
Bent glass. This glass has been heated and bent into a curved shape.
Safety glass, explosion-proof and hurricane resistant. These three types of glass are all treated to help protect against break-ins, bomb blasts, and inclement weather.

Oldcastle Glass® products feature on many notable architectural monuments. Their window walls are used in Seattle’s Union Station and the Houston Convention Center Hotel. Their curtain walls can be seen at the Colorodo Convention Center and the Four Seasons Hotel in Miami. In Las Vegas, the Bellagio Hotel & Casino, Caesar Spa Tower, Aladdin Hotel, Mandalay Bay and the Paris Hotel & Casino all feature Oldcastle Glass®. Other notable projects include the William J. Clinton Presidential Library in Arkansas; the Hawaii Convention Center in Honolulu; the Fordham Towers in Chicago; and the Stata Center, Genzyme Center, and Mary Baker Eddy Library in Boston.
