[ad_1]

The Constitution Party is a third party in the US, based on traditional conservative principles and a return to the Constitution. It advocates for a smaller government, strict adherence to the Constitution, and a change in foreign policy. The party opposes amnesty for illegal immigrants and supports the Second Amendment.

In the United States, the Constitution Party is a third party. It is the third national political party by number of registered voters. The party is known for the slogan “Forging a rebirth of freedom”. It is a paleoconservative party, which means it is based on traditional conservative principles. The party’s philosophy is a return to the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the original intent of those who wrote America’s founding documents and fought to secure the freedoms they contained.

The Constitution Party Platform is all about restoring the country to one that was founded “under God”. The party also proposes a smaller government and adherence to a strict reading of the constitution. The party hopes not only to limit the power of the federal government but also to dismantle many existing bureaucracies it deems unconstitutional. It also promises to cut spending, balance the budget, strictly control the national debt and completely dismantle the Internal Revenue Service, replacing the current system with a “fair tax” system.

Also favored by the Constitution Party is a change in foreign policy that would drastically reduce US intervention, world policing, nation-building, and foreign financial aid. The party does not believe in war unless it is necessary to defend the homeland directly. Within its platform, the party discusses minimizing US involvement in the United Nations and treaties that do not benefit America.

On other burning issues, the Constitution Party strongly opposes amnesty for illegal immigrants and does not believe that children born illegally in the United States should be granted automatic citizenship. The party does not favor welfare for illegal immigrants or any other form of assistance that imposes an undue burden on taxpayers. It insists on strong borders and would keep English as the official language of the United States, protecting its use for governmental matters, including voting.

The Constitution Party has concerns regarding far-reaching governmental power and disagrees with the Patriot Act. The party is also a strong supporter of the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.
