One in seven people who took part in the survey expressed their belief that the end of the world is near. However, results vary from country to country. For example, 22% of survey participants from the United States said the world will end in their lifetime, while only 6% of survey participants from France feel the same way. The survey also showed higher rates of worry about the end of the world among participants younger than 35.
