In 1977, Clark Howard completed his master’s degree in business management from Central Michigan University. He began giving advice on Atlanta radio in 1987 on travel-related topics. Howard inherited his parents’ travel business, ran it, sold it, and became wealthy.

After doing his own radio commercials on the go, the shows were so popular that Howard was given his own radio show.
