Robert Kennedy Jr., grandson of President John F. Kennedy and son of Senator Robert F. Kennedy, is an environmental activist and lawyer. Robert Kennedy Jr. was born in Washington, DC on January 17, 1954 to Ethel and Robert F. Kennedy, a United States Senator who was assassinated in 1968. He was the grandson of President John F. Robert Kennedy Jr. earned degrees in American history and literature from Harvard before earning a law degree from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in environmental law from Pace University. He has dedicated his career to working with various environmental groups to advocate for clean water.
Kennedy has written numerous articles on the environment that have been published in many prolific journals and journals, including Atlantic Monthly and The New York Times. She has also written two books with environmental themes entitled Crimes Against Nature and The Riverkeepers. Other books she has published include a biography of Judge Frank M. Johnson and several children’s books.
