This type of engine would use pressurized fluid to move cylinders and other parts of the car. The hydraulic cylinder is filled with pressurized fluid, forcing the inner piston to move upward. When the piston moves, it causes another part of the machine to move as well.

In today’s internal combustion engines, a small explosion causes the piston to move. In the hydraulic cylinder, fluid causes this movement and a valve opens to let fluid out while new fluid enters to start the process all over again. It does not require the explosion of an internal combustion engine and does not release pollutants into the environment like gasoline and diesel emissions do.
